Eugéne van der Westhuizen, AKA Genie, is a certified acroyoga instructor with a heart of gold, originally from South Africa. His acroyoga journey started over 5 years ago in London.  Eugéne completed two acroyoga teacher trainings with AcroYogaDance, and has been teaching since October 2018 under his own brand Acroyogagenie. He completed a third acroyoga teacher training through AcroLove in 2021. His classes offer training for a wide range of skills and techniques, from acroyoga fundamentals and creative flows, to standing acro. 

Eugéne's calm and patient demeanour paired with his zest for life shines through his acroyoga practice and teaching.  His accessible and fun beginner classes are available to those completely new to acroyoga and his more advanced classes offer various techniques, tools and creativity for those with a more established practice. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge of acroyoga as wide as possible and to building a supportive and fun community.

Eugéne keeps his brain active through his day job as an actuary and playing lots and lots of chess. After hours, alongside acroyoga, he satisfies his love for the performing arts as a member of Ballroom Dance, Argentine Tango and Musical Theatre performance groups.
